Hallo, newbie here

Hallo all, been sent in this direction by another forum, just looking around...

Not sure which part of the site to ask in, but looking for some bits and bobs for my 04 impreza sti....couldn't post in 'wanted', anyone point me in the right direction please?

Cheers, Richie.

If you want to post in wanted you need to buy a membership. Same with selling or pay a one off fee to post.

What bits were you after

Richtom 26 November 2021 09:35 PM

Thanks for the info, I was after the mounts and brackets for the fuel vapour canister...

Try Matty @ MB Developments, he is breaking a few cars at the moment.

i’m not sure from the colour but it looks like a wr1 ? or am i wrong ? , it’s the correct year for it , if so good choice , the problem about the part you are looking for they rot very quickly , no brand new options ? or make one up a bit of thicker aluminium sheet so it won’t rust , on top of that i think it was Don on here said it’s not needed , i personally would keep it 👍

NOSSY_89 27 November 2021 10:40 AM

Yep thats a WR1

I second that.

As above good choice on the car , a bit of a favourite of mine 👍👍 , a few mot bits to sort , is it the horse shoe shape crash bar or the actual sub frame that’s the issue , im sure either are weld able , the parts you were looking for , megazip list them for about 40$ for both parts , plus 30$ shipping take the 20 per cent discount off it’s about 40£ total , then ask them about import costs , that’s for my Fsti which i expect is the same parts as yours ,or try uk subaru , or as Don said other options are remove it , and Don knows a lot more than i do 👍😁i still think the alloy bracket made up is the route i would go 👍

Vxr2010 27 November 2021 03:51 PM

ignore my above comment on parts , i’m getting old lol , plus been a busy day , i’m replying to another thread on this thread must be covid brain , a chap was asking about rotten carbon canister brackets 😂😂 ebay a good source of parts , and East Kent subaru parts , or few new stuff the site i mentioned before 👍

Samu81 28 November 2021 10:34 AM

What ever you do please do not "tune" that car. Thats a WR1, quite rare edition, 500 made. Worth much more if left stock than modified "tastefully".

IMHO.

If someone or a car trader sold you that as a regular WRX STI then you must have had a what we call ... pretty **** good DEAL.:wonder:

Richtom 28 November 2021 11:22 AM

It is indeed a WR1, I've had it a few years now..... Its totally bog standard too, hence me trying to find the original bracketry... Just giving it a very gentle refresh underneath.

Doesn't matter where you post lol.
