Looking good buddy :)

Nice to see you have a new toy :)

Still never got around to finishing the Stereo It is exactly as it was left when I last saw you, but will hope to sort that out this summer.

I don't think so, but maybe. They seemed to think it'd make around 240 on std. map on vpower. They did "reset" the ECU as it was pulling timing a bit, probably due to previous owners using normal fuel, they then ran it through the rev range and at part throttle a few times and did the final run which made the 248. I don't know anyone else with an impreza but I do see a few around.

I changed the oil and oil filter today. Put in millers oil and used a genuine black Subaru filter.

Nothing much to report, just been using it as a daily. I am planning to refresh all of the rear suspension soon.

I have fitted some orange and blue Hella horns though.

I picked up a set of painted blue side skirts a while ago to replace the black plastic ones on mine. Unfortunately they were a bit too scuffed for my liking so I've been filling them and sanding them down to repaint them. They're not twisted STI ones, just colour-coded straight WRX ones but I quite like both twisted and straight, and the twisted ones would look off without winglets at the front I think. It's a shame they need painting but they were cheap so not the end of the world. Should improve the looks a fair bit when they're fitted.

Looks like its coming along nicely!

Im in Hinckley too. Don't currently have a Scoobs, but will be looking to correct that again soon, but if you notice someone in a blue M135i giving you the thumbs up, don't worry, it's just me regretting not owning one anymore!! :brickwall

It's the little changes that sometimes make a big difference. I have a need to keep a key in the car that I can grab, jump out and use while the car is running. Obviously the coin tray has the pin entry system for the Sigma alarm, so I've been using the ashtray which is really difficult to get a key out of. My heater vent has had a mark on it since I got the car, so I killed two birds with one stone and replaced this part with one from a JDM car with a coin tray. The coin tray has a little ramp in it as well as being more accessible so it's really easy to scoop the key out now!

A while ago I was forced over into a deep rut/pothole on the verge of a lane because a van came round a blind bend right in the middle of the road- Leicestershire is awful for people doing that all the time. Anyway, my left rear alloy was cracked. As I use the car daily I wanted to get a replacement fairly quickly. I had a look at aftermarket wheels 2nd hand but none really took my fancy, was going to get a single wheel from a breaker but then a full, standard set came up locally in a lovely colour with Yokohama AD08rs, admittedly not with loads of tread left but still a bit of life, all for a very reasonable price. So, these are now on the car which are a huge improvement. I don't have any pictures of these yet, my old wheels were very yellowy gold, these are a lighter, metallic gold.

I've also been buying up quite a few parts, ready to fit all at once:

STI Subframe Solid Inserts & Diff Bushes
Hardrace Lateral Arms, Trailing Arms & Droplinks
Whiteline 22mm RARB
Perrin Stout Mounts
Powerflex Yellow Outrigger Bushes
Bolt kit for all rear arms

This should really improve the rear end- every single one of the bushes are looking really perished and are deteriorating pretty badly.

Feel free to give me a wave if you see me, it's used daily so I'm out and about in it a fair bit!

STI subframe, hardrace full rear arm kit with droplinks, whiteline rear anti-roll bar with bushes and perrin stout mounts all fitted. I also wire brushed and kurusted any crusty bits, and also the fuel filler neck because it had surface rust but not too bad. Then painted over it, and finally a layer of stonechip to protect the arches and rear underside while I had access to it all.

The old bushes were really poor. Pictured are the arms, but the subframe bushes weren't great, the droplinks were perished, and the ARB bushes were perished as well.

Now looking much better with all new bits fitted:

I'm bringing it into work later this afternoon to do final torque setting at ride height on a scissor lift which will make things easier, and then for a wheel alignment. Should drive really nicely then.

Still to replace are outrigger bushes, and the pitch mount in the engine bay. I'm assuming the pitch-mount is easy. Not massively looking forward to removing the old outrigger bushes though.
