New tyre recommendations
I'm after some new tyres for my 2006 Impreza WRX.
Currently got autoguard tyres fitted which are pretty shocking!! As its the first time changing the tyres since I've owned the car I'm looking for recommendations on what people think the best tyres are. Thanks is advance :-) |
This is a good website to check:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/ You can search for the tyres that suit your model. Generally, Michelin PS4 and Goodyear eagle asymmetric 3's are good all rounders, uniroyal rainsports are a bit cheaper but also pretty good. |
Michelin PS4

PS4 end of story ,,,, |
I'm very happy with my pilot sport 4 tyres. Rain sport 3 are excellent but are fast wearing and very soft tyre wall so can be really wr3cked with potholes

I found the PS4 that good on the subaru that I had them put on our focus and Honda.

Highly recommended Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 (215/45 R17 91Y XL), Ive had them over the last 4/5 years fitted to my Blobeye WRX Wagon and my old Blobeye WRX Saloon and they have done very well in all weathers even in the snow.

running Pirelli p zeros on the daily golf which are reLly good aswell |
got pirelli p-zero nero on my daily scoob, had them on over 2 years and plenty life left in them

Do a search for Auto Express tyre tests - they score the various characteristics of tyres and are really thorough - good for side by side comparisons. I have proper full fat P zeros on the classic but I seriously considered the Vredesteins and have always found the Continental Sport Contacts to be great all rounders on cars Ive had in the last few years.

Thanks for your help.

I think I have decided to go for the PS4's at the time I was lucky enough to pick tem up for BLACKCIRCLE Purchase – No Interest if paid in full in 4 months Loading transaction details for BLACKCIRCLE Purchase + £343.10 Then paid my tyre place £40 for fitting and balancing . Cheapest any place locally could supply was £126/corner For some reason when I rechecked the cheapest they came up was £126 each when using the lookup. However they list tyres with different speed ratings. here them at under £100 each https://www.blackcircles.com/catalog...SABEgL08vD_BwE |
vredestien ultrac vorti , they are well priced , grip is very good , i have them on my fsti so much better than the kuhmo ku39 i had before , i have them in two rwd cars one with 440 one with 500 bhp abd they work really well , as my tyres wear out on other cars that’s what i’m putting on , have a look on tyre reviews |
You can get 4 x 225/40/18 92Y PS4's from Camskill for just under £400 delivered. :thumb:
