Low fuel pressure

went to get car mapped hatch sti whilst driving in vacuum it's suppling fuel but once the boost gauge hits 0 just as hitting boost it stutters and goes lean mapper put a pressure gauge on fuel hose and this is all it gets at idlehttps://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...84682d4ce.jpeghttps://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...e661b7c1a.jpeg
First reading is straight after starting engine second one 30secs later

Fort to add it has new fuel pump and 650 injectors

Gambit 29 August 2018 04:14 PM

what pump was fitted, and who fitted it? its fiddly job fitting new pump in hatch - should be reading 3 bar on std regulator

peter zippy reid 29 August 2018 04:19 PM

My mechanic and would rather not day the make of pump incase its not a pump issue
someone i know thinks its the seal on the pump cradle

peter zippy reid 29 August 2018 04:21 PM

When my mapper pulled a fuel hose off in the bay there was no pressure at all

Gambit 29 August 2018 04:22 PM

id be inclined to recheck the pump fitment.

this thread has a very detailed breakdown of how fiddly it is https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2303133

cheers i take it if fuel lines cant be mixed up and cause issue
i do think its either pump or fitting issue it takes a while cranking before it starts

Easy way to check if its pump or pressure relief valve is crimp the return hose after the prv, if it rises its not the pump, its the prv.

Your top mount not going to cool much, more closed off fins than open ones,

Will get it checked car now taking ages to start and when started its hunting got code p0171 early on now stopped driving it
