A place up cross green Leeds do prop repairs, forgot name of place.
Edit-D&F propshafts |
contact these people ask for sales and tell them paul from brammer sent you
http://www.ims-ltd.co.uk/ subaru will only sell you a whole prop these people do the exact ujs you need, do a search on here someone else has bought and fitted them with great result :thumb: read this thread https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain...placement.html and there is no need to balance them that is what a uj is for to take out any inbalance the only time you need to have them balanced is if you weld on a new or different yoke or shorten/lengthen them |
I've got a 6 prop shaft if your interested, thought my center baring was away but turned out to be the diff

cap size is 22mm diameter and length is 57.5mm. |
If having it full refurbed then it will need balancing so I'd get a proper shop todo it

update
i rang both the suggested places and http://www.ims-ltd.co.uk/ suggested that i ring d&f propshafts so gave them a ring and they both pointed out that newage propshafts are pinched into place and have no circlips so need special equiptment (see pic) http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0np1qsql.jpg so i asked how much to refurb so thats 2 uj's a center bearing and balancing and its £170+vat which i thought was quite reasonable.. so its there getting done now ill put pics up when i get it back gary |
That's a fair price tbh for x2 uj, new bearing and balance. I'll keep that in mind for future as they not far
