Boot

Dazza77 20 April 2018 09:50 PM

Thanks for ur reply.
ive had door and boot sensors checked and apparently all ok.the bonnet doesnt have one.
how do you check them for not working.

FranK RA 20 April 2018 10:23 PM

Have you tried all the door latches on the body work. One might be loose?

Dazza77 20 April 2018 11:16 PM

No,not tryed that.
is there a modular that has something to do with the central locking, behind the dash that could be at fault??

I had this. Checked all the sensors were working and all good. Turned out a rear door lock was missing a screw and wasn't connecting with the clip on the body correctly as it was moving.

At least the sensors did there job and let me know something was wrong so worth checking at least.

Well it could be anything if a loose screw can cause it
.am gunna after investigate more into this.
i appreciate all ur replys.
please keep replying, somebody will hit the nail on the head.if they already havent.
I will look into these that have been mentioned and update the thread
thanks again

1 Attachment(s)
So this is the bit that was causing the sensor to go off on mine. 1 screw was missing and the other 2 were loose so it was rattling around tripping the sensor intermittently. Everything is worth looking at before delving into wiring and the dash.

Update!
checked all switches and latches again.
all seam ok
spoke to an auto electrician,i asked about a bad earth.carnt be that as it needs a earth for the light to come on.
any ideas!
ive been trying to locate the central locking modular, under the drivers side dash.
i see a white box above fuses but no part number on.

Keyless Entry control module - JDM STi revisions A to E P/N# 88035FE111 (sits to right of steering column)

The following, although not JDM, may give you or your autoelectrician a clue (no double lock module fitted to JDM).

Which would seem to suggest a door switch or door switch wiring.
