First off, what do you want them FOR?

If it's for bling, fair enough.
If you want to monitor what your engine is actually doing, buy decent.

And DO read up on here where the senders go...we don't want to be reading about problems with sandwich plates next month, LOL

I have pro sport evo gauges and there brilliant

I have boost oil temp and water temp

Boost in bar but that’s what I prefer to psi

Easy to fit, I didn’t use a sandwich plate for pressure just used the oem location

alcazar 31 December 2017 05:02 PM

Wheres everyone bought there gauges from ??

ProdriveTim 02 January 2018 01:54 PM

Got mine from Scoobyworld. Very happy with them - they mimic the OEM dials when lit up.

Make are they pal

My defi gauges and controller were brilliant. Looked great in a centre pod. I've heard issues with accuracy with cheap gauges. Last thing you need is an incorrect oil pressure reading while blasting round the track

100 % wrong IMO

Ive had the prosport premium evo 60mm gauges for over 2 years without issue :notworthy

Attachment 73488

Ive also had defi gauges and the evo 60mm is as accurate and imo a better looking gauge, again, just my opinion :thumb:

Nice gauges mate:thumb:But.... Defi gauges are the best;)I have had my defi Genome for over 13 years problem free....which is testament to thier quality.SJ.

sivo 04 January 2018 08:03 PM

Worth pointing out that defi is NOT the only way to go :thumb:

It’s about time defi bought something new out with a green background, I find a digital gauge much more user friendly :thumb:

Those problems were probably mine I've Sti gnome gauges were in a sandwich plate headers have cooked both sensors costing close to £180 to replace and another £30 for relocation bits plus hassle of actually relocating them to where they should have been placed.

I have my gages under the stereo, I also have Pro-Sport and find them to be very good quality for the price, they also match the rest of the dials in the car

Stack gauges in mine, none of that blingy shite and do what they are supposed to.

Henrik 07 January 2018 08:07 PM

Even a cheap gauge will most likely be ok.

say you have a gauge that NORMALLY reads 5 bar oil pressure at 5000 rpm. Does it really matter if the actual pressure is 5.5 or 4.5? No, but if it suddenly started showing 3 bar, you should be worried.

same goes for temp, if it normally reads 90 degrees, but it reads 120 on track, it is time for an oil cooler or a pit stop.

i.e. it is the difference to normal readings that is important, not the absolute value.

I had defi gauges in my imported evo, and they were nice, but would I pay my own money to fit some over e.g. pro sport? Absolutely no way.

Turbovin 07 January 2018 08:24 PM

I have Autometer gauges, I only wish they were 60mm instead of 52mm.

Mmight sound daft this but can these not break here with the heat from the heaters etc

Hughy 08 January 2018 10:04 AM

Heaters blanked off Guesty, they work just fine and don't look out of place IMO :thumb:

Tidgy 08 January 2018 10:49 AM

im kinda confused about colours, the dash in mine is def red, yet prosport only come in amber. Are they actualy the same colour?

I have an array of colours on my Defis and its how I got the car. I like them and wouldn't have picked the colours if I had a choice but I do like them and think the constant flickering of digital gauges is more annoying than a needle moving a tiny bit from time to time

Jay kay 08 January 2018 01:09 PM

Not sure if they all do it but with Defi, the oil pressure gauge will always buzz until the engine is running as it thinks oil pressure is too low if ignition is on but engine not turning over. Really quite annoying if your sitting in the car not moving anywhere
