Best exhaust system setup

Hello,

Not sure what exhaust parts to order from scooby world as I don't really know what they are going to sound like. I'm curious to what everyone else has and looking for advice. Wanting quiet enough for neighbours but also make a good sound when cruising. It's an 02 wrx.

Thanks for looking.

Jetex system from revolution is what I would recommend. Quiet enough plodding around but opens up when needed. Not too in your face.

Thanks for the advice everyone,

I was looking at cobra sport centre pipe with resonator/silencer and cobra back box with 3inch tail pipe.

Sounds a bit stupid but would it be alright to fit a new centre pipe and backbox now and then remap a few weeks later, could this affect the car in anyway ?

I dont know to much about these things but better to be safe than sorry.

Cheers.

That will sound to quiet imo :p

Yes it will be ok with out a map.

I've had a few.. one been afterburner back box with non res mid pipe, the. Moved to a 3 hks silent hi power with sports cat then current 3 sports cat, mid pipe and custom back box a lot louder and better

I'm running the same set up as Tidgy but with the track day set up which sounds fab. There's a clip on YouTube.

You could start off by just replacing your centre section with a straight through pipe, you'll get one secondhand for less than £50. This is a cheap way to increase the volume of the lower tones, especially if you don't want to go to loud. You can always then shop around for a secondhand back box if you want to turn up the volume some more.

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...310d1f60b8.pngThis was the one that I have been looking at as I already have a decat 3 inch cobra system, I take it if I leave my downpipe on and replace centre pipe that would be ok ?

I would of thought that the fittings are all the same, any know ?

Thanks.

Only reason I need to make it quieter is for neighbours , just waiting for one to complain 😂

Would a resonator help to make it a bit more quiet ?

How do you find the sports cat, was looking at them for when MOT time comes around as my system is decat. Worth getting do you think ?
