Hawkeye STI headgasket failure

Hey,
So currently having headgasket issues and looking for a rebuild, any recomendations within the Norfolk area? I'm only looking for specilist engine builders, most of the ones I know of or have discovered are a good 150 miles away, so looking for local(ish) ones first however probabily have to suck it up and get the car transported to one of the more known ones.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Paul Finch is in Northampton, (MOTORS S GT on here), also has a built sti 2.5 long engine in the Subaru parts forsale section at very reasonable money.
Can't recommend him highly enough.

Tim Farmer. I know I recommend him for everything but he is very good. He built a forged engine for a colleagues GB270 many miles ago and it's still going.
I think Hurst cars in Bedford and Buckingham Stanley in Cambridge also use him for engine builds (or re-builds).

where ever you go make sure its a proper job (expect a bill of at least 3k+), will need a full strip down including bottom end.

Also while its apart its worth considering replacing the rods and pistons while your at it.

* Paul finch is your man just done a rebuild for me top job.*.

definitely do the bottom end too they often fail after the hg go, arp head bolts are a must or it will go again , forged pistons very worth doing , rods wise unless you are looking for more power not that necessary , plus it's worth a drive or tow to go somewhere that knows what they are doing , i've head 3 rebuilds over the years and learnt what was worth doing

Thanks for the input everyone, I knew you lot would help out.
Not looking forward to the bill but it is worth doing right.

Who is this Tim Farmer fellow I've seen a few posts about him but no other information?

Northampton is closer than any others I've found so looks like I'll be contacthing Paul Finch soon then.

Thanks again.

Tim is a mobile mechanic, but does everything from servicing to race builds. He is a one man outfit and has worked a lot with Zen and Hurst cars.
His online presence is rubbish, but you can call him on 07880 661866.

Cheers, in this day its odd to not have any online info about your company.
Then again with recomendations I guess he doesnt need it.
