Milltek newage fitement

My mate has just bought a 3 inch milltek back box code on the box is MSSUB128 went to fit it and the pipe work is about 100mm to long.

Done a google search and said the back box is for a 2005-2007

His car is a 2005 blob wrx. Would i be correct in thinking he needs a milltek centre pipe MSSUB130?

The majority of back boxes have the same length pipework, thats from early classic models upto newage 2007 models.

It could be that he has a classic centre pipe fitted which are around 10cm longer than a newage and somebody has previously shortened the backbox pipework to make it fit.

The miltek system on my hatch would only mate up to other miltek parts.i tried to change the downpipe with no luck, think they designed it so it could only be used as a system.

The lengths aren't different though I think, it's just that the flanges are all rotated so they only align with other Miltek parts.

I did wonder if only milltek would fit with milltek. Think hes gunna try change the centre pipe and go from there!

Yes milltek are designed to fit with full systems, selling tactic of milltek.
It will only fit perfectly if full system.
I have a milltek back box, H&S downpipe and a custom centre pipe.
Might be better and cheaper to get a custom one made (I paid £40 inc labour and I bought 2 flanges and got a mate to make mine, no silencer, just a straight 3" pipe and it does 86db at 4K rpm).
