Anyone had problems with a nutter?!

Weird one,but did some work for a client about 3 years ago.She had my mobile.Never had a relationship with the person in any way, shape or form. And never would.lol

About a year ago she found out I was divorced. No idea how.Has sent berween 20-30 text messages to me a day, every day, without fail, professing her love for me,then hate, then love.etc etc

At first it was funny, then bloody creepy, then bloody scary:eek:

Anyone attracted an utter fruit loop??! Fecking weirdos out there:cuckoo:

Oh,and have blocked her but messages just go to spam so can still see she is texting

Worlasshasansti 15 January 2017 10:15 PM

Just plough her and get it over and done with !

Have you told the police? If you are genuinely concerned you should as it's just a form of stalking.

No. Never.

I'm not really that ugly :D but I have very clear and strict boundaries with my service users and all the people I know, even as friends and acquaintances TBH. No one has ever tried bothering me like that. They won't dare. If they did, they'd be reported to the cops.

I'd never find it funny; even in the beginning. I'd be stepping outside my professional boundaries, if I did.

I suppose it has a lot to do with what profession it is, and what the ethics of the profession are. And of course, with your own level of vulnerability to things like that. And of course, some people may chase you without any encouragement because they have a screw or two loose in their upper storey. The victim should take care, in such cases.

Yes. I second that. Do it. Such obsessive behaviour by the perpetrator can lead to them harming to the victim in one or other capacity. That's why I said- Take care

Honestly, even less should ring alarm bells even initially, well, unless it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

On the subject, I do see a lot of people on line that talk of being stalked are stalkers themselves TBH. Some just want to feel valued, so they create stalkers around themselves with their own acts and then call those stalkers bunny boilers, cat pinchers, shovel robbers etc. When some people are really and factually being stalked by some weirdos without encouraging them, they end up getting very, very traumatised. They must report their stalkers to police.

Oh well.Police job I reckon ( I hold out no hope on that front though.Out of the emergency services, they should be re-named the lethargy services) in fact, I'll stick to deleting, but crikey she is annoying

Well, you did say that at first you found it funny. Loz, perhaps your profession allows you to take such behaviour funny at any point (early point, in your case). You finding it funny initially might have encouraged her without you thinking of it as an encouraging factor.

To be honest, in any day and age, with or without internet, a vulnerable person is a danger to oneself, never mind others endangering him/her.

Anyhoo, good luck. :thumb:

Yeah I have had a couple over the years, latest one is Jayallen, he's obsessed with following all my posts on here and always commenting about me, I just take it as a compliment and think he must have a pretty sad existence to be spending so much time on me, it's a bit sad and pathetic really, shows that there's something seriously missing in their life.

My advice is just ignore it and pity the fool, and try not to encourage them, that's what I do. :thumb:

lozgti1 15 January 2017 11:27 PM

lol.I just delete everything

Just strange behaviour from an adult.lol

lozgti1 15 January 2017 11:28 PM

I know that one reply would encourage.lol

Stiff 15 January 2017 11:28 PM

I would report to police and in writing. Obviously keep record of all calls and do not reply.

Better to make a fuss rather than her turning up at your door with a knife in her knickers or stripping off and accusing you of rape.

Sorry to hear of this and hope it's resolved for you. David

Try telling her you will be reporting her to the police

steve05wrx 16 January 2017 04:32 AM

Hi,
You need to report her to the police - as a preemptive strike.
This is because by ignoring her - this could make her turn it back on you and invent stories that you have been stalking her!
Get a log of your texts and calls with the police - so that you have evidence that you have not instigated it, replied or harassed her.
Cheers
Steve

lozgti1 16 January 2017 06:14 AM

Just as a matter of interest, surely the police could get all her phone records to show all the messages she has sent anyway ?

pimmo2000 16 January 2017 06:22 AM

Depends on the length of time and the reason for their request. It would require a court order and unless she really gets bad it's not likely.

Deleting them isn't a smart move IMP, keep the evidence. It might sound funny here, but this woman sounds seriously unbalanced and I'd be very careful.

ZANY 16 January 2017 07:30 AM

Tell her your flattered but you've found someone that might get her off your back..

I have the opposite problem I always say I'm married with kids in the first instance of a conversation works sometimes and most times eggs them on even more :cuckoo:

We need a picture of her for a definitive answer to your query.

+1

I had one mild issue with the daughter of a tenant. She got hold of my number via her mother and pestered me for a bit.

Had the whole undying love bit and I as gently as possible explained that I had no interest and her response was pretty vicious. Fortunately, that ended it but was awkward when I had to have contact with them.

I wouldn't leave it and dismiss it. A few texts and accepting of the brushoff like the above OK, fine. If it's carried on like you say then that's a problem that probably shouldn't be ignored.

BrownPantsRacing 16 January 2017 12:06 PM

I married my Nutter. Of course, I didn't know she was a nutter until after we were married! :)

dpb 16 January 2017 12:07 PM

Is she well off ?
