Which Battery for classic wrx

What battery for phase 1 classic impreza. The battery is dead and will die after a few minutes of doors open and need to replace it.

Have read either bosch s4 024 or the optima red top is a good battery. Just wondering what the numvers were on the optima, found a few close to the bosch spec..

I'm interested in this Q, too.

I have an 11 month old RAC Varta job... Which can't provide enough cranking amps, if the car is left undriven for about 4 days in really cold weather. :(

Went with the bosch s4024 from tanya batteries. 4 year warrnty on it and most recommended this as a good option so will be better than the diff on it atm

I now like YUASA Silver, five year guarantee.

Halfords do them at £100+, you can have one delivered off the internet at around £63-£67.

As above yuasa ybx5005 on ebay £66.99 delivered from autosessive,i have had many other branded batteries but the yuasa is head and shoulders above them all in my opinion. 550 amps cranking.

Go for one with 510 amps cold cranking. Been perfectly okay for me over the years
