Forgive me father for I have sinned!!

Please forgive me everyone......

In a moment of madness I went all chavtastic and stuck a VTA BOV on the Scooby :nono::nono::wonder::wonder::cuckoo::cuckoo:

I know i know......in my defence though I went with the Forge BOV as it's a bit subtle below 3k and only really makes a fast and furious ppppssshhhhhh (or however the feck you write it) noise above 3-4K but I'm fairly certain it's not coincendence because the car runs like a bag of **** now when giving it the berries.

I had read up beforehand about how for a moment when changing gear and backing off the throttle it will run rich and it's obviously causing me issues where it's bogging down, causing a flat spot.

I'll be sticking the std recirc BOV back on, fingers crossed it goes back to normal.

A lesson for everyone. You can get it mapped in, but the standard valve does work better.

Well done for confessing your sin and admitting you have made a mistake :thumb:

My last blob had a forge DV, and they are one of the better ones, but it still felt 5hit when giving it some (it was mapped in). I replaced it with a std recirc and it felt loads better, loads smoother on gear change

I won't fit another one and always discourage people from fitting one :thumb:

They really do need mapped in to work correctly .

Best getting one with adjustable spring tension so around town you get desirable chatter and on country lanes you get inner child grins. There's a point on my car where it both vents and chatters, then pops n cracks due to the slight overfuel - little things!

I have what looks like a Tial copy (No markings)

I would like to fit a genuine Tial but don't want to have to re weld a new flange onto my inter cooler piping,

Are these flanges generic ?
