JT Innovations Mega Group Buy!

I've been asked here to set up a GB on various JTinnovations products.

The following is a list of items that are included in this, along with the GB price. If interest exceeds the GB quantity stated, I'll look again and see if a a better price can be offered :thumb:

I'll let the GB run for a couple of weeks. Items can be paid for via PayPal, Bank Transfer or credit/debit card and the prices include shipping to UK mainland destinations. Shipping surcharges for other destinations can be provided on request.

Shipping will take place once all GB participants for the given item have paid up :)

If you'd like to join in, please reply to the last post on the thread, quoting the full list of parts and adding your name to the list.

I'm afraid we can't include Toucan in the GB at this time - I'll look at doing this next year.

Any questions, let me know - details of all items are on the JTi website.

NOTE – the 5 off quantity applies to the whole item group – so, for example, as long as there are 5 or more interested in whatever combination of coilpack conversion looms, the 5 or more price applies to all variants even if only 1 is interested in the V1/V2 set.

CoilPack Conversion Looms
• 1993-1996 (V1/V2). Usual Price £72. 5 or more £60
• 1997-1998 (V3/V4). Usual Price £120. 5 or more £100.
• 1999/2000 (N5/V6). Usual Price £120. 5 or more £100

AVCS Conversion Looms

These are used when retrofitting a newage STi engine to either a newage WRX or a classic. Variations cover most eventualities, and 2-pin cam sensors (as per 2.0l STi models) is assumed but we can do them for the 3 pin sensors on the 2.5 heads if needed:

• Classics running AlcaTek (needs the AVCS add-on board fitted to the ECU). Standard price £180. 5 or more £150.
• Newage WRX (has pins fitted to fit the OEM ECU plug). Standard price £180. 5 or more £150.
• Syvecs/Generic (bare wire tails ready to wire in). Standard price £180. 5 or more £150.

Pierburg Boost solenoids (Prodrive type) with PnP cable
• Pre-1999 (so V1-V4) with the large round connector. Standard price £72. 5 or more £60
• 1999-onward (So V5/V6 and newage) with the smaller, more rectangular connector. Standard price £72. 5 or more £60
• we can also do the cables only for those that have the solenoid already and would like a PnP cable. State which one you need! Normal price £26, GB price £20 for 3 or more.

Clutch switch for flat-foot shifting
• Syvecs/Generic - has a 1m cable with bare ends. Normal price £36. 5 or more £30.
• AlcaTek - has a short cable and the plugs to fit the check connectors under the steering column (which is the default input for this switch on the AlcaTek).

Sensor Pack
Used when you have an aftermarket ECU (Syvecs/AlcaTek/Simtek/etc.) that supports additional sensors. The pack contains Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, Air Charge Temperature and Oil Pressure and includes a fitting kit for the sensor (the block adapters) and a wiring harness to get the wiring back to the ECU.

• Sensor Pack and loom. Standard price £446.40. 5 or more £390.

Shiftlight
This can be connected to a Toucan and setup that way, or can be directly connected to the ECU or vehicle CANbus and configured on a PC. For the latter you need the USB cable option, and also need to know where the CAN rpm data is - we know this for some vehicle so please ask if you want to use if for this and don't know. Only hatch-onward Imprezas have CANbus by the way :(

• Shiftlight with no USB cable (for Toucan). Standard price £222 5 or more £200
• Shiftlight with USB cable. Standard price £252 5 or more £230

Syvecs ECU Expansion Unit
OK, a bit niche this. Only works with Syvecs and adds 50Hz GPS, Accelerometers, G-sensors, Barometric Pressure sensor, EGT amplifier, 4 additional inputs for sensors and an H-bridge driver.

• Syvecs ECU Expansion Unit. Standard Price £540. 5 or more £475.

Question: what would be the best coil pack to use on my version 3 STI with the conversion loom, and are all the newage ones compatible?

My understanding is that the STi versions have a slightly longer dwell time which can be advantageous on higher power builds, but it might be worth checking with a mapper.

Fitting wise, no problem with WRX or STi types.

I know many people have gone for "SureFire" coils, available on eBay, and have had good results.

There is 4 types I believe. 2.0 wrx, 2.0 sti, 2.5wrx, 2.5 sti.

The 2.5 are different lengths so better off with the 2.0 ones either wrx or sti. Think the sti ones are the most popular ones as they are better (I think, well you'd think so).
Think they are fk1086 or 1040 iirc I'd have to confirm by quick google.

I have the surefire performance ones in mine.

ossett2k2 17 November 2016 03:11 PM

FK0140
FK0186
FK0334
Are the 3 different ones for the 2.0ltr Impreza on the surefire site:
Would any of these be ok?

bustaMOVEs 17 November 2016 04:36 PM

Fk0140 is for the 2.0 ej20s the 0186 is for 2.5s and 0334 is for the 'stock' 2.5s

Thanks for helping me out on this :thumb:

Np.

Could do with a sensor pack and flex fuel, but I'm broke right now due to getting fresh engine so will get them at a later date.
Sorry not fitted toucan yet but will send remaining bracket(s) back with few plugs I got for you.

+1 for SureFire seem a good product.

Tempted by the Syvecs expansion unit to get my cruise control working, but probably a world of pain to actually fit and get it working?

Fitting the expansion unit is easy - just wire it in :lol1:

You'll need the cruise control request switch wired in of course, and be running DBW, and have a brake pressure sensor (2 preferred). The expander has the accelerometers and G sensors that add to the safety of the setup.

And it then needs to be calibrated of course!

Tim can the Syvecs cope with Hall effect sensors for the front wheels and normal pulse probe for the rears and use the two signals for traction control ? If so would take an expander.

Syvecs (S6) can measure wheel speeds on any of the first 8 inputs (AU and AB types), and these will all work with Hall Effect (HE) types; variable reluctance (VR) types, as used for normal ABS sensors, only work properly on the first 4 (AB) inputs but, that said, do usually work just fine on the AU types.

The expander can measure wheel speeds on all 4 inputs, but only reliably with HE type sensors.

Hope that helps!

Arch 30 November 2016 02:09 PM

That was my concern Tim I am maxed out on Inputs on the S6 will need to have a look at it. Thanks

Arch 30 November 2016 02:14 PM

mmm wonder if the hatch WRX rear hubs will accept an R180 shaft and brake set up.

Not sure that would help with the VR ABS sensors, as these will need to go to the AB inputs on the S6 as before?

Arch 30 November 2016 02:52 PM

The Hatch uses hall effects so if your expander works well with them then hatch hubs all round allows the expander to be used for the ABS inputs.

Are you sure? I wired in a set to a hatch STi earlier this year and they were definitely 2 wire sensors.

Arch 30 November 2016 10:27 PM

Was it a hatch STI ? They still use the same larger diametre sensors and the teeth on the shaft. The Hatch WRX has a much smaller diametre sensor and no teeth on the shaft.

TimH 30 November 2016 10:35 PM

it was an STi - I've just looked at the wiring diagrams and they don't differentiate between WRX and STi, and show 2 wires sensors. And the part number for the sensor is the same for WRX and STi (actually, for all models including NA).

Arch 01 December 2016 06:54 AM

Definately not the case I am away working at the minute will get a pic of the hatch wrx sensors when I get home and check the number of pins but certain they are hall effects.
