Brand new std replacement turbo fitted recently with 2 year guarantee Aircon works well nice & cold Sti hid headlamps with led sidelights & Osram night breaker plus main beams Sti bonnet scoop Sti fog covers Sti Titanium front strut brace Gas bonnet struts Exe-tc fast road height adjustable coilovers Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 alloys 8x18 fitted with nitrogen filled Michelin pilots sport 3's fronts have around 2mm tread & rears have around 4mm Front calipers refurbished by Godspeed fitted with stainless steel pistons & painted red Grooved discs all round, pagid oe front pads, Godspeed kevlar rear pads Uprated Walbro fuel pump Sti de cat up pipe Stainless steel de cat down pipe Full stainless steel 2.5 inch exhaust with Prodrive rear silencer K&N panel filter Silicone inlet pipe Blitz boost gauge Sti gear lever surround Sti mats Kenwood DDX5025DAB double din head unit Alpine components in front doors running off a soundstream amp 12" JL Audio ported Bass wedge running off a Lanzar class d sub amp Not so good points: Paintwork not the best, quite a few stone chips & a small dent in the front of the bonnet A few little marks here & there & a tiny amount of surface rust just starting to appear on the rear arches. The paint on the drivers door peeled off when I removed stickers after Le Mans in 2013 so I replaced the front door as it was the cheaper option but the paint is not quite matched probably due to the car having some paint previously. This car has been my daily driver for the last 4 years or so & has never let me down, I always let it warm up fully & cool it down before switching the engine off. Did you ever get it remapped after the decat? And do you have the original for the MOT?
Do you have a close up of the bumper showing the dent? Really really nice car. Definitely making me think though I definitely need the boot space over that massive sub! Mileage isn't an issue. This is a fair bit less than my current car! |
Remap is not necessary for just a de cat, air filter & fuel pump the std ecu can cope just fine (mine has been fine for the last 4 & a bit years) that's not to say a remap wouldn't be beneficial just not absolutely necessary.
I don't have the original cat for the mot I just have a friendly mot person :) I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a used cat or friendly mot tester :) The dent is in the bonnet I'll take a close up photo tomorrow although you can just see it in the head on photo of the front of the car, the front bumper does have a small nick in it from where I caught the edge of a wall parking one time :( |
