Out with the old MY15 in with the New MY16
Some of you who know me knew I had the white hatch a few years ago to which I finally admitted defeat with & sold up and bought the more sedate MY15 STI. Great car covered 13,300 in 12 months with it & never missed a beat but then decided I'd had enough of not being able to keep it clean so Ordered a suitable replacement, MY16 in Pure Red. Not many of these over here thankfully. Anyhow here it is.
6 months after ordering she rocked up on the transporter https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/8182/2...3ea86c2a_c.jpgThe new steed. by Rob Ostle, on Flickr https://c7.staticflickr.com/9/8899/2...370446c5_c.jpgThe new steed. by Rob Ostle, on Flickr The day she was ready to take home https://c8.staticflickr.com/9/8732/2...2892e555_c.jpgUntitled by Rob Ostle, on Flickr https://c6.staticflickr.com/9/8216/2...3bd3ef80_c.jpgUntitled by Rob Ostle, on Flickr https://c5.staticflickr.com/9/8544/2...a7c9eb0b_c.jpgUntitled by Rob Ostle, on Flickr https://c5.staticflickr.com/9/8273/2...8ff6d0b5_c.jpgUntitled by Rob Ostle, on Flickr |

Lol bet no work got done by you at Stan's the day that it arrived at the workshop other than taking photo's and taking the delivery wax and protective plastics off it as said in an earlier post looks well in red.

Really nice in red Rob : )

Got a test drive booked for next week to drive one of these at my localish Subaru dealer.
Only after a test drive can I then choose to keep my Type R, or sell it and use the money towards one of these! Other car I am looking at is the BMW M2, but of course there is a big price difference between the two. Would really like to know what you think of your new car in a couple of weeks time. I don't usually like red cars, but that does look good :thumb: |

Believe it or not I didn't touch it for two days, then set to doing the PDI and doing what I had to including a full underseal etc |

If anything the grey one I had seemed a little quicker than this but this one is early days at the moment & is quite tight still :D |
Looks great !

After all of the quick Subaru's I've owned its actually a refreshing change to change to something std with a few choice accessories fitted and not worry about anything.

How did you manage to get hold of a red 1 ? our local dealer said they don't do them in that colour for the uk market.

They are XXR 550 wheels in Chromium black, Supplied by Mags at ruislip, The originals are all wrapped up and stored safely in the garage, Managed to swap the original new tyres over onto these so its a win win:thumb:

That looks very good in red!! I guess this was a special order, were there any other options available that the UK doesn't usually get?
I recognise the garage, does Mike still work there? |
I like the look of that:thumb:

Would you not consider any mods in the future such as exhaust, intake and a remap?
