Hand brake roll (on hill)

Hi,

I recently changed the hand brake shoes on my 04 WRX. I adjusted the hand brake cable as per instructions in manual. All is fine on flat ground, however when using it on a hill the car rolls. I know it usually moves slightly when on a hill, but this seems to move more than before.

Is there anyway of reducing this roll? Ideally none if possible.

How does this compare to other owners? Does yours slightly roll before coming to a complete stop on a hill?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jonny

It shouldn't move at all even on a hill if adjusted properly.

You say you've adjusted the cables - did you adjust the shoes first?????

All you need to know in this link...........

Thanks Don. I did adjust the shoes as well and tested they were working before putting back together. I will double check everything and go through the link.

Thanks for your help.
