Honestly, im amazed to learn that so many of you never found Apple cables to be unreasonably mortal. Not that I mistreat them at all. Here, anyone I talk to; including tech store guys, they tell me that iPhone cables do break down for fvvk all, and need replacing every so often.

id say females are generally rougher with cables , from what iv seen anyway :p

:D All the cables I use are in A1 condition. Mrs DD's are however not quite so well looked after :D |

Have to say, I'm with Duncan on this one.
All the cables I use are in A1 condition. Mrs DD's are however not quite so well looked after :D Anyways, as per Skoobie Dhu's #20, I went out and I bought myself a Poundland cable yesterday; obviously only for a pound instead of the Apple one for my arm or a leg. It's working so far but my iPhone is still threatening me with the something-like-this message - "This cable is not supported by your device. Please dump it in your waste bin..." etc. So, I'm just hoping that it should continue to charge my phone, or it will just stop charging it in a day or two. We shall see. You could do the same. Buy Mrs. DD one from the Poundland and see what happens. It's only a pound so if it goes duff after two days, you guys won't have to reduce the quantity of the bread you consume; in order to compensate towards the high cost and high maintenance Apple original. |

Thanks, Duncan. Got the Poundland one working for now. It wasn't just a pound if you consider the overheads. We don't have Poundland ne'er us. So a tenner for car parking, 25 quid each for dinner and cocktails on Easter Monday, but hey. It has been 5 days and the cable is still going strong, although I get random message on my iPhone that 'this accessory isn't supported by your device...' or something like that.
I should get this Hot Deal one that you suggest; just in case the Poundland one fails. Thanks, again. :) |

Looks like a winner, Kevlar. |
On the same note, anyone knows where I can by hdmi to iPad cable cheap? Apple and Curry's sell a pathetically tiny one for 40 quid  and I need an extra one for work. I can't keep taking the home tv one to my workplaces all the time. I'm worried about losing it and it's a 40 quiddo one.
