Pads and discs.
I recently bought new front discs for my UK Blobeye sti and I'm just wondering what pads are best to use for front's and rear's and also where is best to buy them. I also need new rear discs where is the best place to buy these from not bothered if oem or not.

They're meant for the nearest bin actually. PF-Zs from Alyn or Godspeed. |
arguably the largest PFC UK agent (as well as many others).............so we might just be able to assist ;)

Been reading some reviews on the PFC pads and the EBC Blue NDX and sounds like the NDX gets the thumbs up in terms of road driving whether it be from cold or after the occasional heavy braking. Bugger to find though!!
whoever wrote that is paid by E*C...........no comparison IMO
NDX blue are ****e wouldnt get given them free! Now using PF08s worlds apart in braking terms
Hawk HP Plus pads are pretty damn good for the money.
Think it was this I was looking at recently...
https://www.scoobynet.com/888237-ebc...verdict-2.html Are the Performance Friction spot on when cold? In the same boat as the OP on this and looking to change. |
My car came with blue stuff fitted (AP brakes) there was no feel to the brakes very wooden, they were either off or on no modulation at all (locked up for fun, no abs) only saving grace slightly better than the pf08s I have now from cold. However a couple of presses of the pedal and PFs are in a different stratosphere of braking lol
As Banny says Blue Stuff are shocking
Any brake pad that says 'track or street/track day use' will be rubbish for everyday use. They will never get to temperature by driving on normal roads unless you drive everywhere at 100+ mph and stamp on the anchors as hard as you can every 30 seconds.
Orite buddy!!!
I used to had the CL5 pads amazing pad but under slow braking they are the noisiest pads ever!! So switched to the PFC pads that were supplied by AS performance and these are a great pad no noise under low braking and work really well when a little heat is in them! :D:thumb: |
So PF all the way then!
