another turbo questionh
Hey, I appreciate all the help this forum has gave me, I'm sorry if i seem to ask to many questions 😝
Any how, my vf35 came with 3 bolts missing on the side that the down pipe bolts on, on closer inspection it looks like 2 of the holes have no thread to screw new bolts in :-o what do I do in this situation? https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...23dcd46dd7.jpg These 2 have no thread 😞 https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...8759f1e9a4.jpg Say something about this photo |
That's the way they all are, we'll certainly the three TD04s and TD05 I have anyway. The other two are normal bolts rather than studs as far as I remember.
Did you get a new stud for the other hole yet? |

Ah yeah I see what you mean, just looked at the turbo on the car already,
I was looking at that bolt kit but there threaded so will be no good as the holes in the turbo aren't. |

Just go on eBay and look for m10 x 1.25 exhaust studs. 37mm long I believe. Cheap as chips!

No that's the one missing stud. The top two are just going to be normal bolts that go straight through the down pipe flange and the turbo flange. You could get M10 X 1.25 bolts for continuity though. I'd say M10 X 1.25 X 50 would be spot on.

As long as they have at least a rating of 8.8 really, anything less is likely to break. No special heat rating that I'm aware of.
50mm might be a bit long but at least you can cut them! I'll look at my up pipe and spare turbo in the shed to see what way it bolts up! |
