GIMP - it's free!

http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

MS Paint ;)

Gimp is ok, but its free for a reason.

Photoshop is the only app you need, if you want any decent tools. Lite versions can be had for a reasonable amount, or free from *cough other sources ;)

Paint.net is ok too for a freebie.

though I'd throw in On1 Photo Suite for when I can't be arsed with Photoshop

Thanks just looking for something easy to use, only a beginner

On that basis, have a look at Photoshop Elements. It's considerably cheaper than the full version and has all the basics you'd need to get started in photo editing.

If you dont mind stepping back a few years, adobe is giving away Photoshop CS2 these days, along with adobe acrobat 7 etc.

Nice one, do they work fine on Windows 10?

bioforger 05 October 2015 03:11 PM

It should do, but you may get some issues, as its not supported/no more updates from Adobe for it.

An0n0m0us 05 October 2015 03:28 PM

Cheers, got it and installed OK. No idea what to do with it lol, just using it instead of paint for image cropping/resizing :D

brendy76 05 October 2015 03:32 PM

Yea works ok on windows 10, I do get the odd window sat on top of the other issue but its fine. :thumb:

bioforger 05 October 2015 03:51 PM

An0n0m0us 05 October 2015 04:02 PM

I learnt everything I know off google and utube, loads of tutorials and things to get you used to different techniques.
