Question about turbo intake hose

1 Attachment(s)
Sorry for being a bit thick :) but the hose that connects to the turbo from the air intake is split right where the jubilee clip connects to the turbo. Is this the hose I'm looking for? And how much of a pain is it change? Thanks

Used search and a few bits came up but the one's I looked at the pics have expired :(

Is this the one? Oh yes its an 02 bug WRX

Its obviously easier to remove the inlet manifold first but it can be done. It helps to lube the hose up before insertion (as always) lol

So that is the hose required? The OEM looks well different on the car

Make sure you get a decent one, Steve. Cheap ones tend to collapse when on boost.

Yes as above the cheaper ones arent re inforced so collapse when air is being pulled in on boost, i got a cheaper one and had to put a couple of jupilee clips around it along the length of it to strengthen it incase it did begin to collapse but its been fine. Paid £70 for mine new i steared clear from the dirt cheap china import ones. It was a bit of a pain to fit i ended up removing the intake entirely in the end, tidied the area up and replaced the gaskets while i was there though :)
