Not a bad start to Subaru ownership! Although I'd have that roof scoop straight off. Welcome :thumb:

That's the first job on the list along with getting the mirrors painted black and a good set of tyres. I just hope the pod is stuck on. |
That Clio looks stunning Scott! But welcome to Scooby world! :D
Looking forward to more pictures and details. Oh, and the proper term is Type RA Spec C. Not the other way around. :thumb: |

A few more snaps. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5594/...0e4fc6f9_b.jpg027 by scottieraven, on Flickr I had the steering wheel trimmed from the coverings off of a PH1 rear seat. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8625/...d60bd8eb_b.jpg033 by scottieraven, on Flickr |
I've got a Bug Spec C RA, albeit in S202 edition. It's a fantastic machine.
I echo the above advice, get rid of that abomination glued onto your roof. |

I'll be keen to see the progress of the Spec C. :) |

It's now on 51k and is up for sale, the Spec C is its replacement which im looking forward to driving and enjoying. Thanks for the comments mate. |

Collecting it can't come soon enough, what one did you buy from them? Was it in as good condition as they said? |
Yes mate they did a few bits to it but it was as described.
It has a few stone chips etc but its 13 years old. Would definately buy from then again. It felt like ages from me leaving a deposit to pick up but was worth the wait and its alot faster than I thought for a standard car. Made 295 on dyno dynamics rollers with just a airfilter and cat back :) It was this car but have just got hold of the bbs wheels for it :) http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/...psmhzylhoi.jpg |
Looks spot on mate, how many miles had it done?
Where the wheels expensive/hard to get hold of as its something I'm considering doing to mine? I also want to buy the standard sticker set for the car so I may message you once I get mine. Yeah the weight is killing me, should be landing in the UK 24th May, collecting 1st or 2nd week of June I hope. I'm getting them to fit the alarm, did they fit one to your's and if so did they have to fit central locking to the door's? Cheers. |
PM me the Clio sale mate :)

They fitted a alarm and front central door locking as have nobody in the back so didnt bother. Its a pain waiting for the dvla mate tbh they take there time. The wheels I got off here but they are hard to find in 5x100 well I only found the one set. :) |
How much are you after for the Clio?

Gents, i don't want to clog up my Spec C thread with talk about the PH1.
Im flattered of the amount of attention the PH1s received tbh and its probably the best PH1 available imo so its not going to be cheap. For anyone who is genuinely interested in owning a hi spec PH1 then please feel free to PM me, ive had lots of PMs about the car so far. To the 2 people who have posted ill PM you with the full spec list and the price. Thank you all. Scott. Edit. Here is the Clio for sale add for all those interested. https://www.scoobynet.com/other-marq...l#post11674171 |
Your scooby looks good man! I'm waiting on mine from them too :) did they tell you how long they expected it to take after landing in the UK? They told me it could take 3 weeks but I'm hoping they were being over cautious! Chris14a, how long did it take for your from when it arrived?
Might see you out on the road Scott! |
About 3 weels mate tbh as its nothing todo with them its the dvla as you need to wait until its registered until you can drive it away. What is it you have subaru bought from them?

Can you post a few more pictures mate or do you have a project thread? How long have you owned it mate? What should i be looking for when trying to find the original wheels? What make of tyres did you go for as mines bound to come with a **** make. Cheers bud. |
I've gone for the hawkeye spec c, no ra for me so slightly jealous of you ;) cool, that sounds like the same timeline as for me. Should arrive in the UK on Tuesday and then be ready for collection in about 3 weeks time! Hoping DVLA are on the ball for the next 2 months for us! Haha
|
It had just a cat back and a hks induction kit on it Mate but it was missing brembos and wheels made good power and is healthy tho :) . Tbh the gearbox makes the whole car mate the ratios are so good.
Not got a project thread yet mate ,will try to get some pictures up of it later as dont have any recent ones. Had it since march mate but nlonly done around 600 mile on it as its a weekend car. Mine had federal rsr's on it but will be going back to advan ad08's when they need changing. Wheels are bbs 5x100 17x7.5 they only made them for the bugeye I think as the blob eye spec c went to 5x114 I think. |
