My 05 Jdm Sti.

Just testing the water for now as undecided. As I,m getting on a bit, I,m thinking of selling my MY 05 Jdm Sti, which has been featured in Jap performance and Banzai magazines as it was a ZeroSports demo car. I,ve gone back to original front bumper and sideskirts as they were too low for speed bumps. Can anyone recommend me a nice car with a bit of comfort but still with the power I,m used to? To keep the wife happy, I only want to spend the money I,m likely to get for my Subaru. Steve.

E46 M3 seems a decent alternative

I personally prefer four wheel drive. Rear wheel drive is great for a laugh, but come snow and rain time, they get driven like a Golf.

Maybe an 8p S3? Should be in your price range, and possibly even an 8P2 which is the one to have.

Thanks for your replies, still undecided. Steve:thumb:.

I'd highly recommend making the move to an Evo, but you aren't going to gain anything over what you already have.

I'd probably agree with the above... an E46 M3. Does everything you'd need it to.

Something like an S3 may be too refined (ie boring)

e46 m3 will be pretty dull by comparison. have to go up to an e90 or rs4

Not hawkeye money though which is what he was asking, may as well throw a GTR in there as well then :)

Tidgy 28 April 2015 09:08 PM

depends what you call hawkeye money, see em up at 25k for certain models.

Trinity 28 April 2015 09:09 PM

Not his hawkeye obviously.

OP's car is a Blob

Trinity 28 April 2015 09:15 PM

Definitely aint no rs4 happening then :)

Tidgy 28 April 2015 09:21 PM

ah my bad missed the bit about wanting to spend what he gets for it. Tbh not alot, pound for performance your gonna struggle to get much.

Thanks for all your advice. The S type Jag looks nice, but I dont think I,ll change now and keep the Scoob as I,ve spent thousands in upgrades and maintaining the car to a high standard. I,m using a 2.0 X reg Focus for work now which is ok. Might sell the Scoob though as its not getting used much now. Steve.:thumb:
