Good short shifter?

Hi all,

I quite fancy trying a short gearshift kit on my 07 STi Spec D.

Can anyone recommend a good one, and easy to fit?

Obviously with already having the 6 speed STi gearbox, would it be a pointless waste of time / money?

Thanks in advance

worn bushes is the biggest issue we come across with those

we also stock & supply the Kartboy shifters which work very well and good quality

Thank you Alyn, what is the price of your Kartboy short shift kit supplied, and is the kit easy to install?

Whatever you do, dont buy one off Tarmac Eater on eBay, appalling kit (hence the price)

Prodrive......

Fitted a 5sp version of the Prodrive short shifter (along with the bush kit from AS Performance) to mine and love it. Bear in mind though that short shifters tend to highlight any niggles with gear changes like tough 1st to 2nd changes on cold mornings!

Interesting, my gearbox can be like that when cold. Glad I'm not the only one.

Was the bush kit easy to fit? ie, all accessed by simply pulling off the gearstick surround? I'm not wanting to start pulling the centre console to pieces etc.

Bush kit has been fitted to my 5 speed and now my 6 speed. Works great really does tightens everything up.

You need to remove the gear stick, connecting rod and support arm (as pictured in my thread) as one from the car, can be fiddly as the bolt are accessed from under the car in the transmission tunnel above the exhaust, see pics in my thread:
