Does anyone know this car? (and wanted..)

Hi

I'm after a low milage UK blobeye STI widetrack or a low miles blobeye JDM. Preferably in black but also consider blue and white as well. I've seen a couple and weighing up my options. Does anyone know this car?

Also does anyone have any experience of clives performance? They seem to have quite a few motors, ive read stories about chesire performance but not clives. I would much prefer to buy private if possible but choice is fairly limited as it is.. Would also consider a low miles mint UK STI (non widetrack) with the right mods, service history etc. I've seen a nice UK non widetrack STI that im considering, is it worth paying an extra 1 - 1.5k for widetrack?

Cheers

Nice JDM blob that, but heard from a few people on here that the garage paid £6.5k, so a bit of a p1sser when you know that you got to pay £3.5k over what you could have had it for!!:brickwall

scooby_mad 02 February 2015 09:51 PM

6.5k?! thats cheap! doubt they would have let it go for that if it was private. Its not got a full service history and 6 owners.. Anyone know if it was someone from here or well looked after? It looks mint

stuart148 02 February 2015 10:20 PM

it was on the fb selling page at 6800
the traders payed 6500 for it as I was emailing the man
the next morning he messaged me saying it sold
,I asked how much he let it go for and he confirmed 6500
, he wanted a quick sale

scooby_mad 02 February 2015 10:39 PM

Right, gutted i missed that! Think the last owner spent a fair bit of cash on it as well, wonder if he was on here. Im just a bit wary of buying cars from traders when they've had 6 owners and dont have a FSH etc. Sore one paying 3.5k more than it sold for as well

powerwrx 03 February 2015 03:17 AM

Yep sold for £6.5k...then put straight back up for sale again at 10k

stuart148 03 February 2015 06:59 AM

the cars ment to be a nice one , needs a bit of paint on the front due to stone chips
so the last owner said

Think Cheshire and Clive's are the same mate ... would definitely advise doing your research before looking at any of their cars as there are plenty of horror stories:

Think they own most of the Subaru's out there now ...

Its a shame about the gay-flap on the roof, but I think even Clive got a good one with this. He dosent have many good ones, so this is a rarity, hence his price tag :)

Ah yes, you are right, stand corrected.

Clives still dosent have any decent motors then:lol1:

scooby_mad 03 February 2015 03:26 PM

Ha ha, they have one... Which is why i was asking about them :)

2004 JDM, looks good but again im a bit wary of traders.

Do you think the black one will be a good buy? Anyone know AK cars? or any of previous owners? There's a gap in the service history and 6 owners, apart from that seems good, front bumper could maybe do with a respray

poolio74 03 February 2015 07:58 PM

Could never consider it knowing what the dealer paid for it. Simples

The guy who just sold it is

The trader that bought this has got about 3 different Facebook accounts/ names that they use on the various subaru selling pages.

Tiger Tiger & Tiger Bash are 2 that I can remember. Their comments and attitude make me think that they are another from the Cheshire performance style of trader.....

Scooby Stevo 05 February 2015 11:12 AM

they bought my wagon , then listed it 2 days later for £1300 more.

they found a slight oil leak which i never knew about - doubt that was rectified before it went up for sale

stuart148 05 February 2015 11:16 AM

it dont matter what they payed
it's a 9k car all day long
there dealers and they was there with the cash to get it that cheap

it's only like one of us buying it and keeping it 6 months then selling

as I'm sure any of us wouldn't sell it at 6500 we had bought it for

Nice blob. McRae is nice as well.

So is he using the McRae for commuting now? I had a quick look at the Blob on the link you posted, very nice and noticed he said he used it for commuting.

scooby_mad 05 February 2015 05:45 PM

Thanks for the link big sparks, was very helpful

It is a nice blob and i agree it is a 9k car, assuming there is nothing wrong with it. I read a couple of posts from the previous owner on another forum that when driving up hill he felt a judder/vibration through the car and thought it was something to do with the DCCD? Is that normal? it was last year that was posted

How about this instead? Low mileage and only 800 sheets, she's a thing of beauty:

scooby_mad 05 February 2015 06:49 PM
