*************SOLD*********************

Hi All,

It's finally time to say good bye to my 97 classic wagon. I've owned it since January 2002. Reason for sale is I've been offered a very low mileage 06 wagon, and I can't really say no to that.

Silver wagon, UK turbo 2000. Totally standard, never modded. Only non standard parts are the 17 inch alloys, because the original 16 inch ones went porous and leaked air all the time.
Not an import.
Mileage 135k.
MOT June 2015
Taxed til August next year, but DVLA no longer transfer tax on sale (in case anyone didn't realise this).

Bad points: It leaks some rain in through the windscreen pillars.
Alloys have all the lacquer pealing off but are otherwise in good condition.
Chip in the near side headlight.
Some rust bubbles on drivers side pillar and arches, but all ok near side.
Speakers have blown.
Head unit appears to be working, but it does have some display issues.
A few stone chips on the front but hardly bad for it's age.

And now the good points:
It drives as well now as it did 13 years ago.
No problems with engine, turbo, gearbox, drivetrain.
Cabin and fabrics all good condition.
New tires this year.
New clutch and cambelt in 2011
Apart from a few little issues, it's in great shape for a 17 year old car.
All history since I've owned it, plus a few other bits.
Always run on hi-octane fuel.

Other things to note:
Cat 1 alarm with the Certificate of install
2 keys and fobs (although battery dead in one of them).
Only advisory to the last MOT was a slightly corroded brake pipe.

In 13 years of ownership I've had to change the flow meter, a corroded power steering pipe, one radiator (they get hit by stones at the bottom), a few rear anti-roll bar linkages, and that's about it apart from consumables.
It really has been a solid car for me.

I think I've priced it fairly, if not, then I'm sure I'll be told. It might even be under priced, but it's got to go, so I'm not going to start messing with the price. However, don't be offended if I sometimes appear a little emotionally attached to my baby, we've been through a lot together !

Location: Chepstow, South Wales

I've not been a scoobynet user (at least active) because I've never had any problems. However if my new profile causes you any doubts, then please just get in touch. I'd rather think that she'll go to someone who'll love her than to sell it to some random person through the free-ads.

As stated in the title - price £1250, or make an offer if you think I'm off the mark.

EDIT: REDUCED TO £1000 (15/12/14)

225 views, but not a single bite.

Its not the best time of year to sell a car, but maybe I've asked too much.

Reduced to £1000 - maybe this will generate some interest.

Thanks again
Andy
