Yes, some people can get ill by getting too kissy-huggy with cats and react badly to their scratches. Some people are simply allergic to them. They start choking and getting skin n rashes in the vicinity of the cats. Animals in general bring some h&S&h hazards, not just the cats. I suggest not to underestimate cats because they look cute. By the way, I kiss and cuddle my cats but I'm not dead yet. I don't think so, anyway. I said I was scatched by my fatty kitty in my eye, and I've still not gone blind.

You just look at the negative points of the cats because your Zimbabwean girlfriend is phobic to them, and some cats in past ruined your flower beds. Saying that, the amount of attention you pay to them shows that you actually love the cats; deep down inside. Good man. :thumb: :)

I was very happy for that kitten in the video (it's in the link you posted) who dodged death on a busy road. The chap, who eventually picked and took it, is a good man too. :)

There's got to be a point where our 5 year old son gets bigger than our cat lol...

LOL at the size of that cat, Awesome :)

I once saw Cameron when he was 2yo run across the room and belly flop on the cat, the cat just grabbed him and rolled around the floor with him like a gator with a deer.

I would definatly get one of those big cats . Unfortunatly the last time my girlfriend and i got a cat it she could hardly breathe after a week of it being in the house . Severely alergic to them

You may be able to own a male Siberian Forest cat, they are the 3rd biggest cat breed (length) and produce the least Fel-D1 protien so are the best choice for allergy sufferers.

Visit a breeders house to see if there are any flare ups.

gary77 04 January 2017 03:04 PM

I had googled it out of interest ,to see if there are any breeds that are not alergenic . And the siberian did come us as being the best option. Apparently 80% of people with allergies were ok with that cat.

If we were to get a cat that would be worth looking into

I like the look of a savanah but i just dont think its right keeping an animal like a cat inside all the time .

Just seen this story about the robot cat on the news:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-35310200

Although the link I found is from Jan 2016, I've only seen it today on Sky news.

Such a good story. :)

Can't see why they couldn't download real cat sounds onto it.

Good effort nonetheless. Very heart-warming to see these animated toy felines providing company and comfort to the dementia patients. :) I'm sure their quality will improve over the time; with the top technology we have, now.

We had the animated artificial polar bear family display in Chester this Christmas; near the all-world market. They were calmly breathing while asleep. You could see their body raise up and down; like the living beings'. It was quite a good display, I thought.

Sadly not. Amber used up the last of her nine lives a few months ago. :(:(

Very sorry to know that, SJ. :( Amber was gorgeous. Perhaps she's looking down and blessing you with plenty of love for Squeak, now. Our first one Mrs. Billi, who started to live at the next door's, came to my door step just before her end of life, and tried talking to me in her meow-ing ways. I had just adopted a new kitten called Ms. Coco, so I think Mrs. Billi was telling me that I must live happily with the new one now; without regretting that the next door lured Mrs. Billi in and caused a gap in my life. Soon after she died.

Squeak looks amazing! May she fills your home with ample joy. :)

Can't believe Guinness Records want to replace our cat with a smaller one!

Coz his cat has the record for being the longest not largest, so the one above is probably longer but has a smaller body.

New favorite spot.

RS_Matt 20 June 2017 04:01 PM

Ludo was 118.5cm long when he got his record, and Guinness have recently contacted the owner of a 31lb cat that went viral in Australia asking for his claimed length of 120cm verifying. They haven't asked us if Ludo has gotten any bigger.

Ludo certainly has. He's gone from 118.5cm and 28lbs to 122cm and 37lbs. He's still growing.
