Getting a refund on my alcatel modem as it keeps recycling power to my pc and p!ssing me right off so am going to use a router instead. The question is, which one and how much? I want stability and reliability but I also want least expense as possible. So what do you people reckon?

you want a modem/router or just a router?
for a modem/router, check out www.dabs.com, quicklinx code 17P8WS. for a router only, check out www.seg.co.uk for the draytek vigor 2200. |
Sorry just to clarify it needs to me a modem router as the usb modem is being sent back.
|
|
then the modem/router from www.dabs.com will suit you. got a built-in 4-port as well.
(you might wanna checkout netgear modem/router DG814 at www.netgear.co.uk too) |
Asus AAM6000EV, mines sat here next to me, love it, great little thing!

Am looking at the draytek Vigor 2600, which is router, firewall, and 4 port hub, plus the ADSL line plugs in the back, which is what you want cos If I read right you're getting shot of the alcatel modem, if you are keeping the modem then as mentioned the Vigor 2200 USB will do you.
problem with the 2600 is its not released yet, so i can't get ADSL yet :( |
if i were to get adsl, the draytek vigor 2600 with wireless would be ideal. unfortunately i cant afford anything, so sticking with dial-up.
|
Anyone know when the Draytek Vigor 2600 is going to be released as that looks like the one for me? Lots of features and under £200 :D
