Looks great. Need to get round to painting my bonnet vents black after seeing this.

Looks like a unmolested example . . What's the spec?

myblackwrx 13 July 2014 07:45 PM

Completely standard & my intention is to keep it that way apart from changing the middle & back box because it's as quiet as a family saloon at the moment with the original exhaust on. A Nur Spec is being fitted this week.

Absolutely, these were taken straight after the Driverskills session. The car was driven in anger & was faultless, these cars are quite amazing even in standard form.

Owning a white type r myself I may be a little biased but I love them in white! Nice example in standard form, keep it that way.

Is it all you expected?

And more!

Must admit that the Driverskills day was fantastic to really see how these cars can be pushed & how to improve one's driving at high speeds.

See you soon :p

I would have a quick look at the bushes etc as mine were quite fecked (same year car, daily drive) and you would be surprised how much new bushes do make the car feel imo.

Very nice car indeed, looks well tidy :top:

The car has only covered 91K however can you specify which bushes you are referring to please.

Thank you, much appreciated.

It is completely straight & would appear unabused, they guy who sold it to me was a true gentleman, he wanted to sell the car to someone who would appreciate the car & give it some TLC.

I have had it mechanically checked, serviced & all oils changed. It's being valeted this week, will be getting the engine bay detailed & someone I know to check out the body work then that is it really.

I will use this car for Spring/Summer driving & the Blobeye Autumn/Winter.

Mine has done a few more miles :)
Bushes that I changed were

Track Control Arm.
Steering Rack.

These were noticed when I was upgrading the suspension/ARB etc,and I found that with the TCA bushes replaced it felt a stiffer on the rear and a lot easier to get in back into line when giving it a 'spirited' drive :)

Personally I think a quick check is worthwhile as it's quick and easy (on a ramp anyway :lol1:)
