Sorry to be thick what are these issues? Read about the petrol filler cap issues on the U.S. Forum not heard about the other ones. Do you happen to know the VIN number cut off?

Sorry I was ideally after a way of telling if my car had already been done ( I purchased it back in November) so wanted to check the vin, as from the very quick look (in the dark) I've no sign of any paint damage.

ah ok sorry, in that case your bootlid has probably already been done then, as others from the beginning of last year all suffered with chips. But yea best to check the VIN.

Has anyone with these cars received anything from scorpion track to say there tracking system is up and running. ?? Been over a week and I've heard nothing from them

No i didn't, but i rang to confirm after sending out the form about a week after as well. They are on the ball, so nothing to worry about. They had all my details stored and called me over Christmas when the battery went flat, which i wouldn't of known about until it was too late, so they saved my bacon there :thumb: The Subaru assist people took even longer to confirm they had me registered :lol1:

rob84 10 March 2015 04:01 PM

That's reassuring to know that it's not just me that heard nothing. Thanks for putting my mind at rest. I did however contact scorpion track this morning to double check and they confirmed the above. Very helpful company.

Yea they seem to be pretty professional, i guess they need to be in the line of work they provide. I doubt the renewal subscription will be cheap :/

I also asked this question, £150 for 12 months coverage. Also given me a couple of numbers to ring for the likes of the car going in for service etc they need to know as it will trigger an alert at the call center when lifted up or battery removed for any reason :D

Smiler-Wrx 10 March 2015 08:31 PM

Great looking car Rob,
Subscribed for mods :D

Would the under spoilers void/affect the warranty?

Nah not unless they caused corrosion (impossible) and you tried to claim for bodywork/paint.

Depends if you are referring to the front lip and side spoilers or the proper OEM rear under spoiler :D

None of the pieces we make for the 2015 need drilling into any metal parts.

Hello John! I am sure I must have met you when I came for the test drive (Jim showed us around) and then got the car :D just over a week ago!
Have driven it maybe for 4 days in total, it had 80 miles on delivery and now odometer shows nearly 800 miles!!! :luxhello: I am fast approaching the 1,000 mile, although Jim told me not to worry too much about this :thumb:

I shall be coming on the 17th, so that we can get rid of this annoying TPMS light that has been on :wonder: since day 1. Jim knows about it. Car drives very well overall!

I should post some photos from delivery ;)

Test drove MY2015 yesterday at S&S and was super impressed. Any get any good deals on them :norty: Do you guys do a PCP plan?

It is tempting having a 3 year warranty with a performance car and not stressing about ever knock and rattle thinking its an expensive repair.

Littleted 06 May 2015 04:37 PM

that was the most annoying thing about the scooby, if you didn't run it for a week or 2 the batt went flat cos of the Tracker....

was great fun on business trips, when i get an SMS to say cars flat, always ringing airport to get them to jump start it for me when i return lol....

Right ballache

are the new trackers any better or still a drain.

Its more to do with the sh1te batteries Subaru put in them from the factory and not the tracker itself. Mine went flat over Christmas, so they replaced it with a decent heavy duty bosch one (on the warranty of course) and since then i've left it for a week or more with zero issues.... so far ;)

Start with CarWOW I got offered £1200 off without even trying this week.:thumb:

I probably got a better deal than anyone on here would ever get but that's perks of the Job & cannot be repeated

I had the same problem mine had a flat battery over christmas that i had replaced!

I_MNL 15 May 2015 02:42 AM

So how long can we leave the car without driving it before the battery does not start it?!?
I am surprised, cos I left mine in the garage for 12 days, and when I came back, no problem!

The problem with the factory batteries is they hate constant short trips, they need a decent run to get topped up so to speak. So if you are doing longish runs then that's probably why you haven't had a problem yet. If you do a lot of stop/start stuff and short distances then the factory batt wont last more than a week after a while. I would advise you get a heavy duty replacement anyway for piece of mind.

Or if you are going to leave it for some time, put the batt on trickle charge with a decent charger, like the CTEK ones.
