How to locate my old car?

I'm trying to find my old car, is there any way this can be done i.e. to find the current owner/location? I've done the common 'free' checks such as DVLA's vehicle enquiry but is there any way to dig deeper?

I would like to know this as well,
problem is most of mine have had my private plate on so I guess they would be impossible to trace ?

I'm thinking I need to become acquainted with a copper down the pub, suppose they are the only source other than dvla

I think the searches are logged, pretty sure one of the coppers on here said this was a no no.

This might sound stupid,,but why not just put the reg number & other details on here & someone might reply.

Andy.

Speak to a car dealer as there used to be a full comprehensive HPI check that could be carried out and it would bring up current owners name and address ;)

Or a v888 form you pay £5 and get all that you need

Why on earth would you want an old car back? Just buy one the same?

A friend did this and got his cheque sent back and told categorically NO by the DVLA, they would not even contact the owner on his behalf either
