End of an Era !!!
I knew the time would eventually come and it's with great sadness that my Scoob has been replaced after almost 14 years of ownership :(:(:(
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09...n/PICT2427.jpg It was ordered on 19/06/1999 and delivered on 23/11/1999. 1 Owner MY99 Wagon with PPP Serviced 12/99 1001 06/00 7203 12/00 13542 06/01 18570 11/01 24883 05/02 31309 11/02 38105 05/03 41880 11/03 47155 05/04 50788 11/04 55112 05/05 56454 11/05 60484 05/06 62889 11/06 66987 05/07 70495 11/07 75619 05/08 78812 11/08 82768 05/09 85371 11/09 90231 05/10 93903 11/10 98467 05/11 101307 11/11 104549 05/12 106707 11/12 111657 05/13 115086 Never hesitated at any MOT and not one advisory ever !!! I decided the time had come to spend less on fuel and insurance after all these years & have opted for a turbo diesel so i bought an SRi Astra a couple of weeks ago. It's ok as it goes and as i do regular runs to Cumbria the good news is i have managed 60+ mpg something the Scoob could only dream of but it doesn't excite in the same way at all :( Strange to think i got the Impreza when i was 36 & i'm 50 this year  Quick shot of the Astra today http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09.../Iphone081.jpg I will still look in here of course ;) |
Should've got yourself a VXR8 IMO.
|
Bloody hell two threads with folk leaving the Impreza fold! Hope this doesn't turn in to an exodus.
|
Banny will be back !

14 years is a long time... A lot of people have a hard time keeping a car 14 weeks.
Well, you always need a sensible car... But I am sure your non-sensible inner self will start to scream for some excitement soon. It happen to all of us... a boy always need his toy. ;) Jerrick |
So. Question is. Is your wagon for sale?

Omg classic windup
I think your the longest one owner on here and I'm the second with my wagon just. Afew months after you We were both at the tts meetings when it started and you were part of us in the corner when I planned the NBO vision My wagons worth £1600/1800 and I've allocated £3000 to spend on it over the next couple of years which is fincial madness ,but I have nothing else better to spend my cash on The gloves are off Who between is can keep the wagon longest Bit worried about mine Did 1000 miles in the last 12 months with it :D http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/s...g/ef81090c.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/s...g/698de9a6.jpg Didn't keep my blue scooby for so long though as I like my new toy http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps3bcc66f1.jpg But the Greenwagon is for ever |
I'm not a real fan of red. Well I wasn't. I like that
|
Yes Simons superb example is a very rare colour as best selling wagon colours were the mica blue or silver with a odd mica green knocking about
Think Simons red one and my green one was the only a few in those colour at the NBO 11 Wagons weren't a strong seller compared to salloons but you could get a washing machine in the back deliver it very quickly |

Who between is can keep the wagon longest Given time some will regard them as classic cars and lets face it they are less and less of them now ! From the NBO 2013 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09.../Iphone041.jpg From it's last day as the daily driver [13 years and 8 months from new] at my cumbrian residence :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/09.../Iphone056.jpg |
I thought I'd had mine a long time at over 6 years but you two trounce that by a mile :lol1:
|
WOW simon thought you had lost it there..................
good to see you still have it so no doubt will be seeing you for your regular servicing (can sort the dis-Astra too if needs be ;)) |
