|
ducking hell, thats stupid money.
how hard is it to set up stripped drives? lol |
I'm not that clued up on computer stuff and have never had external hard drives, but am I reading that right as 2 terabytes of storage for 70 quid? What's the deal with the speeds and how do they compare to build in hard drives? Would prefer something like this so I could keep my laptop's hard drive freed up.

alan,
tidgy is right it is now £50. these are bare drives you can put in an external caddy. i have quite a few 500GB and 1 TB drives like this now as back up. you will be limited by the 300MB/sec transfer speed of USB2 but it is still enough to stream .avi files to your tv. i am seriously thinking about a cheap SSD for my Win7 installation. 20 and 40GB drives can be had for buttons now. |
sink, do you know how you setup up striped drives?
