OK i will contribute.....

Good buddy of mine had a VTS, standard. Very nice, responsive, pretty quick etc. Drove it many a time.
He could not live with my 5 raider running 21psi. In fact the 5 was quicker at standard boost! I was routinely bested by plenty a classic scoob whilst owning this 5.

Therefore my experience tells me VTS, whilst a nice hot hatch is not a match for a UK scoob.
