Been busy with the spray gun over christmas.
Colour is slightly darker in the metal than it looks in the pictures.

Thanks. To say i'm happy with the results is a massive understatement. Paint has turned out much better than expected.

Finished painting the shell yesterday at last!

Satin blacked the inside and it really sets the cage off a treat.

With the sill stands, was there a lot of reinforcement work to do under the car?

Tube sections have been welded through the outer & inner sills and pick up on the roll cage inside. The sill stands then slot inside these tubes.

Small update today...

Ordered some of this universal rubber edging trim for the door openings. I'm not fitting the plastic trims back on and didn't want the sharp edges left exposed. Attachment 57395

I'm currently waiting for the subframes to come back from the powder coaters so i cracked on with removing the engine from my donor car ready for it's mild re-fresh. Attachment 57397

Any updates on the progress?

Yes some progress has been made. I wasn't sure how many still followed my thread so I've not really updated it.
I will organise some pictures.
