RK, can't you just close the nest, then delete it before they have a chance to complain in the wasp policy forum? ;)

Redkop 23 July 2004 07:05 PM

Well seeing as they aren't in the part of the garage where my car is parked, I guess I don't :p

:luxhello:

You can't do that, the wasps have'nt broken any Wasp guidelines. We can't act until they do :(

Neil Smalley 23 July 2004 07:12 PM

Anyway RK, we want Reconnaissance photos so the SN strategic anti wasp planner can formulate a way of attack, and minimising collateral damage. Mind you it is only a cossie we're talking about :p

Redkop 23 July 2004 07:14 PM

Shall I read the Guidelines to them and tell them why they can't stay in my garage as they have posted their nest in the wrong garage <forum>?

Another serious flaw with that suggestion... as my dog ate half of my digi-camera... the zoom lens doesn't work... nor does the camera have a flash anymore  nor a viewfinder, so you just have to aim & point and just hope you get what you want a picture of :(

Neil Smalley 23 July 2004 07:19 PM

You'll need to get closer to the wasp nest then, in daylight. How can Nimbus hope to pull off an operation of this complexity with no humint.

Get closer? Now you are being daft :cuckoo:

Neil Smalley 23 July 2004 07:23 PM

As long as you make no sudden movements you'll be just fine. Seen it done loads of times, esp on SKY TV's when animals attack.

Anyway, we can't help till you post photos.

I have never yet believed anybody that's said that, I certainly don't intend to change the habit of a life time now, especially as I am allergic to bee and wasp stings :D:D:D:D

Neil Smalley 23 July 2004 07:33 PM

All the more reason to take photo's so it can be got rid of
Let me think option a leave wasp nest there and have 1000's of nasty wasps buzzing about for 2 months. or Option B, get rid of them when they are all out bothering other people and doing what wasps normally do..

Redkop 23 July 2004 07:41 PM

Option C How about I ring the Council first thing Monday morning and the Wasp Exterminator can do it - there ya go - sorted :D:D:D

Neil Smalley 23 July 2004 07:42 PM

Sigh :( No Imagination at all

Redkop 23 July 2004 07:47 PM

But at least I have sense to stay well clear of the 'orrid things

Is this why I wonder...

Seriously, council is a good idea, but you can buy RAID that squirts foam into a nest and kills the wasps. It has a range of 3-4 feet and i think is the same stuff that the council uses.

Redkop 23 July 2004 08:32 PM

However it's got rid of, I shall be having no involvement in it :D:D
