Harvey,
Rob will be trailering it down at the moment so won't reply for a while. GT35R, 3rd gear, yes quicker on the road.. hoping the adjustable cam pulleys he just fitted will add a little more power and bring the turbo in sooner.. but will have to see later today Simon |
Any numbers then ?

There was an issue with cam wheels and true to his usual form Rob just refitted the originals using what tools he had brought down with him. So the result wasn't as high as hoped but from memory 33bhp down on target.. ;) but torque was up somewhat from before.. will let Rob will in the details when he gets time. Simon |

I run two impreza's and have a simtek on one and a solaris on the other.. The Simtek is on my everyday car.. an 03 Sti with 20g etc around 380bhp and works very well, two maps (one for vpower and one for 97ron A.N.other super unleaded), launch control and antilag. The other impreza I have fitted a Solaris and as the car is more a track car (although I find it difficult not to drive it all the time :)) the data logging is very useful and multiple maps handy so I can have combinations for vpower, meth, racefuel etc... With Rob's car doing the hillclimbs and sprints it is excellent for him to download the logbook and datalogs and email them to me so I can check all is well and Rob is behaving ;) thats a joke Rob. The solaris does also have knock control, although I doubt it will be long before the SimTek does too. Both SimTek and Solaris are UK based and support and supply time from both are superb Simon |
Sorry not had time to update this till now.Fitted a set of cdf racing vernier pulleys winched it on to the trailer and set off down to Charlie at Surrey Rolling Road for simon www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk to map it.After a quick cam sensor threshold changed it fired up straight away,so onto the rollers warmed up and started the first run.With no change to the map it spooled 300+rpm sooner than before and looked like it was gonna make a good increase in power.But due to a technical fault with one of the pulleys this run had to stop.Quick change of inlet cam pulleys to standard and back on the rollers,the spool we gained was gone but gained nearly 20bhp on v power and nearly reached 570 on 109 and gained a good chunk of torque.Thanks to all that helped and a big thanks to Chris from CDF pulley sent on thursday recieved back today before 9am.All fitted back this afternoon up and runnin ready for simon to do his stuff tomoz mornin at TOTB.

Cant wait for the DCCD controller upgrade to be finished for the Solaris 4 weeks and waiting

Will have more details soon,will post all details soon as i get them

Got a 06 spec C box now so bring on the diff controller,the dccd will wire direct to the solaris ecu whch will then control it.As for functions on im still waiting for the full spec

Just a quick update,a big thanks to simon (jgm) for all his help this year a top bloke who will do anything to help you out,Charlie and Pat for the great Solaris ecu and support,Chris at CDF racing for the pulleys and vernier cam pulleys and Lafarge cement uk for the fuel.Without these it would not of been possible for me to win this years Liverpool and Chester speedchampionship outright.
Many thanks Rob:luxhello::thumb::notworthy |

Great thread this, i though i would pop back and see if Rob had updated the thread with the DCCD details as promised?
If you don't mind could you please put the info up when you get a chance? or if anybody else knows the solaris and DCCD details please post. Thanks Baly |
DCCD control is within the latest free firmware upgrade for Solaris. I have done this update on my Solaris and seen all the extra maps / settings for it. I havent had a chance to experiment with the dccd settings though yet.
Lots of other new and really useful elements in the firmware as well (as if it could get much better) but things like oil pressure settings for flipping into limp mode or reducing rev limit. It really is an ecu that grows with you and will handle EVERY eventuality that you might like to do. |
As said above its all in the latest firmware update www.solaris-ecs.co.uk speak to charlie,pat or simon and they can sort it out.At the mo i havent done it yet as the car is in the process of being stripped.New thread will be started soon about the new car.The controller from what i understand connects direct to your dccd box,works same as the standard one but can fully lock on launch then reset to your preset setting.Also when handbrake pulled it fully unlocks it(needs handbrake micro switch).Sure someone will be along to put me straight on anything

Guess I need to start saving too as having probs maintaining boost after it peaks. Currently have Autronics ECU & HKS boost controller.
TX. Edit - oops, blast from the past thread!
