Not quite true..... to stop "incremental drift" of NHS salaries which mess up long term planning you either reach the top of the pay scale quite quickly or the increments come every five years.

Education system is still a place where increments are alive and kicking, if you hit the top you get TLR payments .......... your pay never fails to beat inflation in this sector.

You'll also find that a lot of public sector workers now get either increments or an annual payrise and not both - even those that do still get both recieve an overall pay increase way below the rate of inflation so a net pay cut.

So that's what CILOCT stands for.... I knew what it meant but could never figure out the acronym lol
