Searched on fleabay but can't find your red beast. Definitely back on there last week. Will have a better search tomorrow while I should be working!

not sure what fuel pump was maybe 150
all plus vat,

7k is probably misleading as it includes some oem replacement parts over the years and service costs

£600 for disc and pads seems too much(for these money you should have used Brembo or new 330mm K-Sport) ,fuel pump cost from £49-£99 including VAT

In NI you don't have mapper, which can map your car for fuel used in NI,because any your engine will be at risk there if its not mapped for your fuel

what was the car mapped for originally 116ron race fuel? E85 would have been better fuel than the vast majority of fuel on the mainland and certainly better than the crap we have in the north.

jura, there are plenty of mappers in Northern Ireland that could have sorted that car out. E85 is only for sale in the south of ireland.

That's good news for OP,due this i would suggest contact and use mappers from NI,if car is used mainly in NI or if can have switchable maps one for using at NI and one in UK etc.

im sure i read something in total impreza this month that said imprezas wont run on that fuel.

andythejock01wrx 12 September 2011 11:06 PM

So is there no 99 Ron in Northern Ireland & the Republic?

BrownPantsRacing 13 September 2011 08:46 AM

Could be mistaken but the op said there was 99 ron in NI but it was also 5% Ethanol. That’s what caused the problem. Was unknown.

bigsinky 13 September 2011 08:55 AM

there is no 99 ron in Northern Ireland. you can go over the border into the south and fill up wit E85. best we can do in NI is SUL or 97ron. Now i stand to be corrected but doesn't methanol/ethanol protect against detonation? i would have thought that the 5% mix would have increased the knock resistance rather than making the car run lean. but hey what do i know.
