Dont know if im just becoming a soft lad or what but I thought it was all about what it represented and that I bought it with care and all that sh1t (prob wrong site for this question having thoght about it)

I told my partner were going shopping for this in town (Leeds) and I was told it can olny be bought from this or that shop and its gota look like this and all types of demands, wish I bought it before I asked her now as it would have been alot easier and stress free otherwise.

Just really pissed me off about all the demands, I must be getting old or soft or both.

Opinions

Call me old fashioned, if you like, but I think the demands are so wrong.
Set yourself a budget, stick with it, no matter if she creates. If she is so insistant on wanting something showy and pricy to look flash, get rid.
It's a sign of love not a "look at me and what I got out of him" thing.
If she loves you she would be happy with a beefy hula hoop :D

Congratulations btw :)

Totally agree!

Even though I agree with Lydia, and getting married ultimatly should be a decision made together.
I still like the olde world type of proposals, where you are wowed by it all. You get swept up in it all.
If you bring it all down to 'just' the ring, and you pick it together it's just not the same. It makes it more like a formality of the wedding process rather than a declaration of your undying love.

If your crazy in love, the ring should be just a token.

If your just there to foot the bill, there is something wrong.

Definitely agree with that.
It's not about the amount of money or the size of the bling :nono:
I'd be happy with the hula-hoop (I'd just want to choose the flavour together :D)

If I were the op I'd be worrying how much the wedding ring and wedding is going to cost.

Her demands have started already ...

Say goodbye now IMHO

PS congratulations :lol1:
