I had it again not long ago but my earole got infected from me poking about, so i got some sofradex solution plus a course of antibiotics from the quack, i didn't need the antibiotics, so only used the solution which has a slight burning sensation when applied, only a couple of drops are required and shifts anything in there, very effective.

Well after 3 attempts syringing with nhs they gave up,booked me micro suction .

Didn't tell me when , it was only after me calling / enquiring for third time that I then got appointment letter for a month away ...

So gave up went private 40 quid .

This took two separate attempts with the hoover and the water , but at last it freed up - hairs and awkward shape canal keeping maybe ten years worth in there .

Bit of a relief , all that blumim Olive oil performance , including the wax expansion ( which is what actually hurts) . Fortunately I never got infection

Left ear came straight out first time. Bizarre

Perhaps this thread has run its course after 7 years. I started it as Diana, my wife, had had some ear problems.

But this week is the anniversary of her death and out of respect I wonder if a moderator could quietly close the thread without further comment. If Diana was around she would thank all for the advice over many years :)
