Just take a days holiday on a day that your wife intends to take your eldest to see the crackhead, don't tell her you're having the day off, go to 'work' and go park where you can the the crackheads parents house. Wait and see how long she's in there for, and how they are together when she leaves the crackheads house (if she goes in at all).
Either that or get a mate to follow her for you so she doesn't recognise your car.

Thats what I thought too but didnt want to sound nasty. End of the day if you love someone you fight for them. Otherwise you could well end up regretting it.
