Andy,

Love the video, and the commentary :D

Well done on your top speed :luxhello:

Next time, I think I'll run a little more than 1.8bar boost, and we'll see what I can do :D

Well it was pretty good on the l_o_n_g drive to the event, approx 28mpg.

Amusing when David Wallis asked how far I had to drive home and I replied 320miles, he says "should take you about an hour and a half then" :D

Andy.F 20 September 2005 11:31 PM

Mark, your profile is out of date ;)

R19KET 21 September 2005 12:15 AM

Andy,

Just checked it, and I believe it's still the highest top speed for an Impreza over 1.25 miles ;)

You certainly hold the record over 1.4 miles................ for now :D

Mark.

Andy.F 21 September 2005 12:26 AM

Wait till I run that through a simulator ;)

It proved one thing, Scoobs are faster and more reliable than EVO's
seem to remember norris designs old evo going over 200??

well done andy f, thats an amazing achievement

i heard "someone" broke one of the coil packs of the evo running? so i guess yeah that would also make the scoobs faster, if the evo wasnt even running lol

Jolly Green Monster 21 September 2005 10:34 AM

Can someone show a picture of said broken coil pack and I don't remember ever seeing any of the scoob crew being 8feet tall and 55 stone?!

leaned on a coil pack and broke it.. lmfao..

That explains one Evo not running.. due to coil pack problems, then blamed on scooby owners but what about the others?? hmmmmm.......

Where has Andy's time been flagged as quicker than EVO's? but in fact on the same day in the same location it couldn't be matched.. darrr

i think i read on here that the top mount intercooler can not get enough air via the bonnet scoop over 200mph

so you might need to fit a FMIC.....
Andy has run a FMIC for sometime now. The top mount cannot handle induction temperatures after a short burst of full power ie 1/4 mile.

Hi Harvey, I think Sticky was being facetious, something he does a lot. When you next down at well lane? Regards Maz.

Hi Lads

Anyone got times for the EVO lads, they aint saying over on the Lancer Register. You can only beat what was against you on the day & you lads did that so congrats. They wont except it though.
Andy
How many runs did you have cos 199.6 is bl***y close. Mine ran 199.8mph on its first run , how **** is that, but the next run saw 201.8.
Its only a matter of time im sure. What Power are you running as it takes around 700bhp to do 200 at Brunters.

Not sure when I will be @ Well Lane next. I plan to be at Dastek sometime next week however.
Andy, please don't break my centre diff. I want to sell it. ;)

Just out of interest, what tyres are these cars using... i take it they're up to the job of doing these speeds...????

Well done all, nice to see that a little lip spoiler on the boot is good for these speeds.... not that i intend to go that fast!!

Andy.F 21 September 2005 10:05 PM

Harvey, I don't have your centre diff in, just the outer casing.
