Forgive me, but when I see your previous posting, stating that Hitler's policies on race were "somewhat misguided", I can't help thinking that you're more than a bit of an apologist for the man.

This was a man, and a regime, which had no respect for human life other that which he deemed to be acceptable. The Nazis productionised death.

They had some good ideas? Possibly, but I'm sure Peter Sutcliffe once did something kind, and I don't hear of people asking for a balanced and fair view for him.

He had an amazing presence which caught the mood of the Germans at a low time and they followed him like sheep. He had a bunch of followers who were prepared to do anything for their own advancement. Once they had the police and the Services in their pocket, they were home and dry.

He was however a megalomaniac and completely evil, he was lucky to get away with suicide, pity the Russians did not get him first.

Worth remembering the scenario for the future!
