I gave up ciggys about 12 years ago. If I'm having a beer, I'll often have a Hamlet as a substitute for a cigarette, if I had a cig I know I would be back on 20 a day in no time. A Hamlet is only 65p so its a cheap fix.
It also helps me turn down a cigarette if someone offers me on as I can say "no thanks" and tell my self I can have a smoke next time i'm in the pub. I'd like to knock the cigars on the head but I just enjoy them so I don't stop smoking them. I don't smoke enough of them to be physically addicted, I'll often go a few weeks between.
On special occasions I might have an expensive cigar, or I might just have nothing.
