seems to me that the peops that dont like the "new" look are bug eyed owners, and the peops that like the new look are older shape owners.Could it be that the bug eye owners are bricking it as their residuals will plummet and are just putting a brave face on it?

I have yet to meet a single person outside of the subaru community that says they like the bug eye. Its also quite amazing how the car is subject to very harsh comments about its looks by ordinary folk, surely if joe public think it looks crap then they cant be far off.

I can agree with peops on here that said they were put off buying bug eye and even got older shapes instead, i was one of them. And yes, photoshop or not the picture of the "new" shape looks a lot better than bugs.

I like it, not perfect but a big improvement. Sounds like a few "classic" owners will be leapfrogging to the new one.
Wouldn't like to say what that will do to bugeye resale values...

The pictures of the yellow and black cars were doing the rounds before the New age Impreza was launched, causing the same speculating then as they are now.

sorry! you can hear all the dealers saying now.....thats all i can offer ya mate, its always been the ugly one right from the start . not that i dont like the bug' it looks ok with wrc lights. if you look at dr evils pic it looks like vw bora from rear arch ,they are only changing front end anyway,not the shape of the arches aswell it would cost them FAR too much

Andy Tang hit it in one! I felt almost sick after placing an order for a MY00 after seeing the Autocar pics. It looked fantastic. Thankfully bugeye arrived. I know there are many people who like the latest shape but I've met more people who hate it.

So the MY03 will only have 215bhp where my MY02 has 218bhp:D Buy the more powerful current model while stocks last!

Look at the front light/grille combo on the (fake) blue car. Then think current Subaru Justy/Suzuki Swift. Ug-leeeee.
If it looks like the black car it'll sell like hotcakes.

I'm sure they said at the motor show that the car had 218bhp, any chance of getting my money back :)

People think imports have 280bhp when infact they have 280PS which is 276bhp not a huge amount but when you get the question "how much power has it got mister ?" then "280 brake" is easier to say :D.
