The US spy satellites closely monitoring that region will know full well who fired the missile and all the fingers are pointing at that Buk missile launcher filmed missing one missile and heading back over the border into Russia.

There's little doubt who's responsible for this mess.

The problem is of course what to do about it ?

Russia wont be admitting anything anytime soon - are the "west" going to go all out for proper sanctions and then freeze to death in the winter ?

Doubt it.

I predict a riot :(

Literally getting away with mass murder. The more powerful you are the more you get away with anything.

What struck me was the compassion of the Ukrainian civilians towards the victims of MH17 in stark contrast to those in power.

Noticed this..http://news.sky.com/story/1304162/ne...ds-from-rivals...from one group of football supporters to another in a sign of solidarity.

Because of the expertise in this country to analyse them. Having fallen from 33,000 feet i'd guess they aren't in a condition where just anyone could retrieve the data from them.

Because it takes specialist equipment to recover the data from them, and the AAIB at Farnborough has one of the few (two or three?) available in Europe.

Has there been any mention of any or the last words or conversations from the cockpit?
