I used to tow a 4.5m caravan, five up, with four bikes on the roof of my Impreza.

No problems.

Since we are digging out :)

in the end I have followed this route :

These are 2001 sti rotors and pads and '2004 807v6 calipers (I found some in a junkyard for 150EUR)
I have been using RC6E pads + GrN rotors : braking is fantastic
Wear and corrosive dust is awful

next : brembo pads + rotors (it's just a street car...)

After the experience with the brembo pads , how is the difference then ?

Im using DS2500 front and RC5L rear now and although the wear is certainly higher than the EBC blue. I won't go back, the initial bite is just such a re-assuring feeling.

I bought a used kit and will probably get some funny eyebrow looks but I didn't have the means to spend a shedload of money when I got them. I'm due for disc and pad replacement in the new year and wondered what peoples views are on the pad selection for normal everyday use but also for spirited drives every now and again?
I'm also looking to either invest in a used rear brembo setup or godspeed disc and pad combo.

I have not driven it yet : it's at the shop for a new short block
the original EJ253 (280,000km) was becoming way to oil thirsty, and eventually off my reliability standards.
new short block + rebuild headers + new front rotors & pads : back on the road in a couple of weeks.

in the meantime, I am commuting with BRZ :)

No shame in used Brembos , and if you want to be 100% sure technically speaking then some replacement seals make them good as new.
