Tom WRX RA 28 February 2012 10:35 PM

Ill find out tommorow stu when in the week the late night openings are :thumb:

Marvins 29 February 2012 07:06 PM

It was nice meeting some scoobynet members for the first time, Seems like a good idea to run the workshop meets as it would be benificial to some if not most who attend.

Have you had any feedback from the boss yet Tom?

lau2908 29 February 2012 08:28 PM

i am so annoyed i missed this! i would have so loved to have come along :( great idea btw

P1 LTD 29 February 2012 09:50 PM

Well Done... Tom brilliant idea some where we can work on our cars share our knowledge and help each other out... Great work shop plenty of tool to do all kind of jobs.. :thumb:

Tom WRX RA 29 February 2012 10:04 PM

Sorry folks just got in from work, the theme is looking to be £10.00 a month for 2 sessions a month.. So thats £5.00 a session (based upon 10 people a session), Mike really wants to run the 2 sessions a month but im not sure if people could commit to that every month or afford it at the moment..

the late openings in college are a monday and tuesday, so we could pick any of these to run the sessions, say one at the beginning of the month and one at the end.

If anyone has any thoughts or coments then please post them so I can pass them on :thumb:

stucooper 29 February 2012 10:31 PM

If we made it Monday i cud attend and when word spreads are numbers will rise making it more cost affective we mite struggle at first but think will work out as numbers rise making

steve ex vauxhall 01 March 2012 05:51 PM

Suits me:thumb:
Need to have some form of commitment though from everyone, as the guy said if only 2 people turned up, we would still be paying the full amount, thats my only worry,
£10 a month for a fully equipped workshop sounds like bargain of the bloody century to me:luxhello:

When's the next one?

Then i can do my tracking,,,,,, AGAIN, lol

Tom WRX RA 01 March 2012 10:06 PM

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I think the best way to proceed is to collect the subs on the tunnel run and see how we get on. If people cant make the run but say are definatley going to turn up and pay, then we count them in.

If we attempt to make it a 'club' thing, then its like a membership fee and a renewal each month. Ill throw in myself as a member of the club :)

Ive been really busy since the last one so haven't had a chance to sit down with the relevant people to set up the next one. Hopefully have a date for the next one by tommorow. shall we go for a monday this time? Is that easier for people?

Scooby Jo 01 March 2012 10:50 PM

I'm in, I need my tracking sorting too :) then how are you all fixed for a rear brake rebuild :notworthy

Tom WRX RA 03 March 2012 11:55 AM

Ok got the go ahead for another session If we discuss on the run when would be best this month for people to come to the college I will get it sorted

Tom WRX RA 06 March 2012 05:15 PM

Okay looking to run the session on either monday the 26th or tuesday the 27th depending what is best for people. Will be a fiver on the door from 6-8 again. The problem is we need 10 people. including me and mark that means 8, so I know a few people are commited, get your name down and let me know what day is best for you. Whichever day gets the most votes we will go for.

unfortunatly if we dont get 10 then it wont happen, I dont want people paying more than £5.00
So..

1) Tom WRX RA (either day)
2) Bumblebee doo (Monday?)

steve ex vauxhall 06 March 2012 06:46 PM

1) Tom WRX RA (either day)
2) Bumblebee doo (Monday?)
3) Steve ex vauxhall (any day i'm easy)

stucooper 06 March 2012 07:38 PM

Monday best for me but go with the best for everyone

Scooby Jo 06 March 2012 08:54 PM

I can't do 26th, hubby's birthday. 27th ok but understand you'll need to go with majority :)

Marvins 06 March 2012 10:09 PM

I'm game, I'll go with majority vote. :D

sean95wrx 09 March 2012 12:57 AM

I may be able to come if my job is finished by then

Tom WRX RA 09 March 2012 08:14 AM

Would be great if you could make it again Sean!

Okay so If we go for tuesday the 27th then.

Just need to get another 3 or 4 on board now.

steve ex vauxhall 10 March 2012 06:34 PM

Come on everyone!

Surely there's other scoob owners out there that could do with using a fully equipped workshop for 2 hrs for a Fiver!!!
:thumb:

stucooper 11 March 2012 04:20 PM

ill defo make this one the kids are away at centre parks

Marvins 12 March 2012 10:12 PM

Have you had any luck on getting more owners into this Tom?

Stu, I'm sure you mentioned that you know a lad with a sport? See if he's game, just tell him other sports attend an he might bite :D

Tom WRX RA 12 March 2012 11:25 PM

Saw yours today Marvins on the way home was looking well clean!

I havent yet been really busy with marking but will make some enquries this week

I think a couple more may be able to come as well so it might just be a case of splitting the difference if we are a couple short.

Marvins 13 March 2012 10:09 PM

Fabulous.
Inner CV boots to do as it came up on the inspection at the last meet.
I'm not sure if that's to long a job?

I might do it before hand an do a service an sump change at the college.

Scooby Jo 13 March 2012 11:47 PM

tracking Tom, the new wheels came with part worn Goodyears which are amazing :notworthy so I need to look after them :)

Wouldn't mind some expert opinion on my brakes too, see what needs replacing:wonder: I want the handbrake to work all the time and not when it feels like it :lol1:

stucooper 14 March 2012 12:01 AM

Ill be swapping my back door over got one for 30 quid ages ago and bringing new intercooler to see what's needed to fit it

Tom WRX RA 14 March 2012 07:25 PM

Yeah all sounds ok folks I will ask kenny tomorow if he fancies doing the CV boot with you Martin as he has done lots before, Found out today (had mine in for some cheecky ramp action) one of my CV boots is cracked and leaking  so I will be needing mine doing soon.

i think the doors are easy enough to do Stu, and Mike will be more than happy to have a look at your brakes Jo :thumb:
